Victoria ‘s Secret Goes Mobile

Victoria’s Secret adds another way for its patrons to access and order their products with the soft launch of a new mobile e-commerce site. Additionally, a text message campaign coincides with this new strategy, something common we see today.

Users can shop the Victoria’s Secret catalog that is available on the retailer’s main Web site or in print by entering an item number into a “Catalogue Quick Order” query box. Once they’ve located the item they want, they can then buy it securely over the mobile site and check the status of their shipments.

This sounds simple and similar to most businesses that have embraced the technology of e-commerce. While it has been going on for some time now, this added phase of marketing and distribution of Victoria’s Secret products should help reach a wider array of consumers, particularly the ones who have adopted web technology or online ordering.

Shopping just got easier and whether you are using your PC or mobile phone, the advent of looking and placing orders seem to be the new face of marketing and promotions today. Thankfully, Victoria’s Secret has done that and results seem high that they can make up for faltering sales which is plaguing the whole world due to old-school marketing tactics.

BlackBerryDen.com, the online Blackberry accessory kiosk, has re-branded their popular e-commerce site as SmartPhoneDen.com. In addition to the new name, SmartPhoneDen.com will launch an improved web site with a new design that is easier to navigate. In an email to customers, SmartPhoneDen.com president Steve Radis states, “The new name allows us to better position the company for future growth opportunities in the rapidly expanding mobile device market.”

The new web site and brand will be an “upgrade” for Blackberry Accessory shoppers. “In addition, the new site will be more interactive, featuring a blog and customer product reviews. We have designed SmartPhoneDen.com to offer the best possible shopping experience for our customers,” said Radis. The new web site will be launched on June 1, 2009.
