It seems that Duracell, a company once known primarily for making batteries, is increasing their offerings with the above wireless charging pad. If you’re familiar with the Palm Pre’s Touchstone, this is essentially the same deal. All you do is purchase a Power Sleeve/Power Clip and attach it to your device before putting it onto the myGrid wireless charging pad for easy charging.

Duracell says that adapters for popular handsets from manufacturers such as Apple, BlackBerry, Motorola and Nokia will be made available when their wireless charging pad goes on sale.

  • Duracell Launched New USB Chargers

Duracell has new portable devices which you should definitely considering for charging stuff on the go. The Duracell USB Charger can be used with the DC outlet of a car. It offers 5-volts of charging power and it can be connected to any USB devices you own. My Pocket Charger includes three new connectors: mini USB, mini USB and an Apple Dock Connector. That means you can charge your iPhone and iPods now with your My Pocket Charger.

My Pocket Charger requires just two AA batteries to run and it’s available right now for $17 while the Duracell USB Charger doesn’t have prices or release dates just yet.

Duracell is known by the good (?) and expensive batteries that have been in the market for more than 50 years, but it looks like that market is a becoming bit small, and therefore they picked storage devices as their second “weapon” of choice.

The new storage devices will be made in cooperation with Dane-Elec, and the catalog includes a big number of products, such as normal USB Flash Drives, and different memory cards: SD, microSD, Secure Digital, CompactFlash, and others.

At the moment the products are already available online, at DuracellFlash, but unfortunately there is no information about the price of each device.
