Nyko makes Zoom Lens for DSi Camera

Nyko, who is famous for making accessories for gamers, has now created a case for the Nintendo DSi that allows the user to make full use of the DSi’s camera feature.

The Nyko Zoom Lens has an 8x zoom lens which will improve the shots that you take on the DSi, but you have to admit, it will be hard to change the quality of something that only has 0.3 megapixels in the first place.

You should be able to purchase it for about $25.

I guess since it is going to be Halloween, I should probably report on Majesco’s newest augmented reality game for the DSi, Ghostwire: Link to the Paranormal. The game was just announced, so it won’t be here on the 31st, but it is most certainly seasonal.

The player for Ghostwire uses the DSi’s camera and mike to scan real settings for virtual ghosts. Apparently, the player must use items to satiate the ghosts. Think of it like The Sixth Sense: the series. Any chance this game could come to mobile phones?

It would appear that the rumors that the DSi will be getting a 4 inch screen is completely false. Yes, both screens will be at 4.25 inches, a whole inch larger than the one that is has now. You can see in the photo a lovely before and after comparison.

The larger-screen DSi will first be launched in Japan as the DSi LL in November 21 for $220. Then it will appear in Europe in the first quarter of 2010 as the DSi XL. There doesn’t appear to be any word of this appearing in North America as yet.

Can this be true? According to a report from the publication, a new Nintendo DSi is coming with 4 inch screens (it currently has a 3.25 inch screen now).

If this rumor is true, the four inch DSi will be released in Japan.
