If you are a sucker for the “Dash” games brought to us by PlayFirst, then it is no wonder why the company has hit a milestone of sorts. Today, PlayFirst reportedly hit the 5 million download mark, something which was just waiting to happen and not really surprising.

PlayFirst is famous for such games such as Diner Dash, Wedding Dash, Doggie Dash and Diner Dash 2. And while we can easily play the flash game based on the PC, its transition to the mobile phone niche has really become something to marvel at. And to date, don’t be surprised if a lot more people download the “Dash” games. They are certainly something worth having on the mobile phone, particularly the iPhone and the iPod Touch.

PlayFirst works with a number of industry partners to distribute its games on mobile platforms including Glu Mobile with whom it has partnered since 2005.

Doggie Dash for iPhones Released

If you loved Diner Dash, you are sure to love this other game from Glu Mobile. The app is Doggie Dash, where players take the roles of Walter and Scarlett who must get their pet spa up and running in DinerTown.

Players must get dirty dogs clean, trim matted cats back to fluffy perfection and put the perfect bow on prissy poodles while keeping the spa running smoothly for all their customers. The game is somewhat similar to the Dash game series.

“Our past work with Glu has resulted in exciting, enjoyable mobile versions of our hit games,” said Rich Roberts, vice president of sales and business development, PlayFirst. “Doggie Dash is one of the most popular DinerTown properties and we’re looking forward to offering our users another of their favorite PlayFirst games on-the-go.”

Features:

  • Dual Mode – Both story and endless shift capabilities with 25 levels of gameplay
  • Multiple Animals – Wash, trim and accessorize 10 different types of pets, each with their own characteristics and demands
  • Upgrades – 64 options to improve your spa to be the most pet-pleasing and efficient in DinerTown

The game is now available at all major carriers in North America. You can check it out as well at the Glu Mobile website.
