While we’re still waiting for Heath Ledger’s last movie, the Dark Night, Verizon Wireless has prepared a mid-range phone surprise, the Dark Knight Edition of the Nokia 6205. This flip phone will arrive on June 15th in the US. As the Dark Knight it will be black with a Batman like logo on it.

Although we all love those awesome GSM devices from Nokia, the Finnish giant tends to give the CDMA market a stepmotherly treatment. But it looks like a new hero is in town to save the day, from Gotham City no less. Like the Batman’s utility belt, the Nokia 6205 Dark Knight Edition has some artillery of its own with a 1.3 megapixel camera, VZ Navigation, VCast Music&Video facilitated by EVDO, and Bluetooth. Not much for a Batman-themed handset, but some exclusive content from “The Dark Knight” movie might suffice for some.

So Batman fans, hold your horses until June 15th when it will be available online exclusively for $119.99 for a two-year contract before rebate from Verizon.
