All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

The device in the picture looks more than interesting. It’s an all-in-one credit card concept that can replace all your current plastic cards. The One Card Electronic Card comes with a memory card slot that will let you upload all the details of the various credit cards you might own. And the turning knob lets you choose what card to use on your next purchase. The screen shows you exactly the copy of the real card and it even displays the back of the card on the other side. Once a payment is completed the receipt is safely stored on your memory card and you won’t have to deal with paper receipts again.

When will we see it in action? Will it be safe enough to be accepted by banks? Will hackers be able to get all your private information stored on the virtual credit cards? These questions will be answered once the concept becomes a real product. And there’s no telling if the One Card Electronic Card will ever be made!

GoGoStand for iPhones

At times you would want to show off your iPhone but no thanks to its thin frame, you may have to hold it or rest it on something stable to be used. For the latter, the next problem is that it may slide due to its shiny chrome that makes it quite slipper to keep stagnant. Thankfully, here is a new and handy iPhone stand made of plastic that fits into your wallet thus allowing you to bring it anywhere.

Called the GoGoStand, it is practically the size of a credit card and can be adjusted to three viewing angles. It can be yours for only $5.

  • In the past there have been several offerings for those who want to use their iPhone to charge one of their customers credit card but they require you to punch in the card’s entire number.

A recently announced project codenamed Square is looking to remedy that as it will make use of a magentic-strip reader that plugs into the iPhone’s headphone port. All users of the app need to do is swipe the card, punch in the amount and have the customer sign right on the phone. After the transaction is complete it is geotagged and a receipt is sent via email.

There’s no word on when exactly this will hit the market but when it does it is sure to be very valuable to those who do selling on the go.

With online shopping and transactions growing in numbers, the need to keep track of who has paid up and who have not is important. While you can always use the PayPal invoicing options, the lacking thing here is being alerted unless you are always checking your email. With Mobya Instant Pay, you can be alerted on your iPhone or Android.

It is not that hard to use. All you have to do is create a record on your cellphone and then the debtor receives an email instantly with a link to repay you, which he can do with either his credit card or his PayPal account. As soon as the payment has been entered you will see it automatically in InstantPay. Its that simple but pretty much useful.

The InstantPay App is free for download and use. However PayPal commissions are added to the payment amount. This app is available now on the App Store and the Android market.

  • I was wondering how long it’s going to take until computers will take over and, this, I think, is one of the signs. But now, all jokes aside, this is a smart thing, making credit card usage by thieves pretty hard. Every time you use your credit card it requires you to fill your pin and displays a security code. This is why using a stolen credit card online will become probably impossible. But I guess thieves will never stop at impossible will they?

We don’t know yet when the first ones will be released! So stay tuned to be the first one to fine out and get your own!
