There are fanboys and then there are fanboys; this next item is for the latter ones who still debate whether Princess Leia had a thing for Luke Skywalker or not.  StarWarsShop now offers Wii players a chance to embrace the dark side of the force with the Darth Vader Sensor Bar Holder, which is modeled around Vader himself holding a lightsaber that supports the Wii Sensor Bar.  The Darth Vader sculpture is made of resin and staying true to the mythology, the lightsaber is blood red.  A must-have for die-hard Star Wars fans who would like to have their favorite antihero of all time in their living room, minus the asthmatic wheezing.  Going now for $50.

  • Check out the video above and you’ll see exactly how the Internet works and why we love it so much. Everything you’re looking for is one click away. And the web is filled with tech-related rumors just waiting confirmation. The PlayStation 3 Slim rumor was out there for quite a while but it has been just recently confirmed. The new price tag has also just been revealed so the ad above seems like the only logical approach for the new PS3. And if Palm is watching, maybe they should rewind and watch it again. Just in case they need some tips on how to make a commercial that would actually convince you to buy a gadget.

The PS3 Slim is the hottest gaming console right now. It shouldn’t be, given the fact that Sony hasn’t launched a totally new platform. It’s mostly the same thing you’ve seen before, only it’s Slim and it’s cheaper. So if you want to go ahead and order your Slim console today you can already do it via Amazon. The 120GB PS3 Slim will cost you $299.99 and it will be ready to ship sometime later this month. Rumors point to an August 26 ship day but don’t get all too excited. It looks like the PS3 is in high demand and Amazon is going to only allow one PS3 Slim per household. That also means you might not get yours until a later date. If you got the cash and you’re already in love with this slimmer look then, by all means, follow the link! You’ll know what to do!

While we all got slightly excited to hear that Microsoft’s Project Natal is underway we should postpone whatever excitement we have left for later. And by later we mean not 2010. Microsoft will not release a new Xbox 360 console next year so we can say bye-bye to Project Natal for a while. Wii sales will probably go up as there’s no other gesture-controlled game console out there yet.

It looks like Steve Ballmer’s words were misinterpreted and turned into a wild rumor that circled around the Internet for a few days. According to Microsoft’s spokesmen, the current Xbox will be available for quite a while now and the next console will be available even later. Project Natal will be a part of the future Xbox 360 but there’s no specific date for it.
