Almost every single phone that receives any amount of hype is bound to get knocked off by some bootleg Chinese handset manufacturer. One phone we haven’t seen knocked off is the Palm Pre, until now, that is.
What you see above is said Palm Pre knock offd that features both a touch screen and slide out QWERTY keyboard. Additionally, it runs the OPhone OS, analog TV, an FM radio and Bluetooth.
Sounds pretty enticing, huh? If you really want such a knock off, it’ll run you right around $90.

Well that’s certainly not going to happen anytime soon. The President’s cell phone choice is clear and everyone in the business knows how Obama loves his BlackBerry. But from there to trying to sell a phone by using the President it’s a long way to go. The ad reads:
Obama have BlackBerry, I have BlockBerry.
Better get yourself a BlackBerry instead of this BlackBerry Storm wannabe. The phone has features like a 460MHz processor, a 3.2-inch touchscreen, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G and EDGE connectivity and Windows Mobile 6.1. How much would one cost? About a dolla’? Not that anyone is buying…

There’s no official N98 touchscreen handset coming from Nokia anytime soon but that doesn’t mean you can’t get a Nokla N98. That’s right, someone cloned a concept that didn’t have any success with Nokia yet. The clone phone will offer a 3-inch QVGA screen and dual-SIM support but there’s no 3G and not even EDGE support. You should also expect no great warranty and absolutely no customer support but I am just speculating here. Maybe Nokla have cloned that too. Nevertheless, in case you will get the phone, let us know how it works. It has a bargain price of only $78 which is still too much for a clone device.

The phone in the picture is the HiPhone Nano which is a weird handset meant to confuse us. What does it clone? There’s no iPhone nano despite the huge buzz created around it a while ago. Did the makers of the HiPhone Nano fall for all those articles and pictures depicting iPhone nanos?
The HiPhone Nano is a flip phone and it’s being sold in China for the special price of $125 instead of the regular $400 price. It has a 2.4-inch screen, dual-SIM card support, camera and Bluetooth connectivity. Nothing that’s worth $400 here. I wonder how many HiPhone Nanos will they sell.

Every once in a while we dig up a clone that looks so good you’d say it’s the real thing. But surely it isn’t! That’s the case of this iPhone clone that looks practically identical to Apple’s handset. It’s the EPHONE the handset we refer to. We’re not recommending a purchase here, just making sure you know it’s out there. And here’s a list of the EPHONE M8’s features:
And the EPHONE is pretty expensive too. You’ll have to pay $160 to get the clone.

On top of the iPhone clones that are (for the most part) made in Asia, there are iPod clones as well. These clones come with a twist and in the end can be considered better, but that is only in theory, cause in practice the real iPod still wins. If only the clones had the Apple logo, it would all be different.
Anyway, the extra functionality this portable media player has is a 4.0-megapixel camera, to shoot photos and record videos. Other than that, it comes with all the features of the iPod 4G, including the design with scroll-wheel which is suppose to be an Apple trademark.
The storage capacity has a maximum limit of 2GB while using a MiniSD memory card, plus 2GB of internal flash memory, which looks good enough to store all the audio and video data. In terms of supported formats, it can do it all: ASF, WMV, MP4, 3GP, MPG, and many others. The videos are played in QVGA format at 25 frames-per-second.

Saying the iPhone has taken the world by storm seems to be an understatement for me. No matter how anyone tries to downplay its role in today’s mobile phone industry, the reverberations of its impact are felt around the globe. And what comes off of highly-popular electronics? Why, bootlegs and ripoffs, of course. We can’t count the sheer number of iPhone doppelgangers out there.

Chinaiphone back
This one, however, deserves a mention, if only to point out it looks ALMOST just like the real thing. Guess what it’s called? The chinaiphone. Yup. As if infringing on Apple’s design is not enough, even the Apple logo gets ripped off, except the bite on the Apple is on the reverse and bit more angular.
