I maintain that to make more profit, it’s best to make products surrounding another particular one. That way, people would begin to see these products as 2-in-1 and hence, would get them both. This is what Canon did with the new Canon DW-100 portable DVD burner. Presented in this year’s CES Convention, Canon DW-100 was designed to be compatible with Canon camcorders. It has the functionality to burn videos from Canon camcorders not only in standard DVD format but also in AVCHD DVD format. Connectivity from camcorder to burner is through USB and the device is operated using three buttons: power, record and eject. If you got a Canon VIXIA HF100, VIXIA HG10 or VIXIA HF10 camcorder, you can connect the DVD burner to an HDTV is use it as a player. It will sell for USD$269 starting late April of 2008. For all its features (which is quite scant although useful), I must say, the first thing I noticed was its appearance — the Canon DW-100 looks smashing.
Another pic after the jump.

The PowerShot A720 IS is an 8 megapixel digital camera while the PowerShot A650 IS offers a whopping 12.1 megapixel resolution, the highest yet in the A series. Having used the PowerShot A75 extensively, I am quite fond of these cameras. Easy to use, and great quality imaging are trademarks. Featuring the new DIGIC III image processor, both cameras offer faster start-up, faster autofocus and quicker shutter response times. Image quality is improved, while power consumption has been reduced - allowing the camera to extend battery life.
