  • AT&T and Sony Ericsson have just confirmed what we heard a few days back and starting July 19th, AT&T subscribers thinking of an upgrade to their ageing cameraphones will have a new option to consider, the Sony Ericsson C905a, an 8-megapixel shooter that adorns SE’s current Cybershot lineup.  If the camera and its 30fps video recording capability don’t interest you, you might also want to know that the C905a is HSDPA ready and also has GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, FM radio and an M2 slot supporting up to 16GB cards. The Sony Ericsson C905a will be hitting AT&T’s shelves starting July 19 for a price of $180 (after rebates) on a two-year contract.

We haven’t heard about Sony Ericsson’s C905a for some time now but details have just leaked out that could be pointing to an AT&T launch on July 19th.

The Sony Ericsson C905a will feature:

    • 8MP camera with Xenon flash, auto focus and 30fps QVGA video recording
    • 240 x 320 LCD screen
    • HSDPA
    • Bluetooth
    • WiFi
    • AGPS

While this handset may seem like nothing special, it’s reportedly AT&T’s first 8MP camera phone. Anyone excited?
