All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

Philips never lets us forget the fact that it’s still making handsets. And some of its latest cell phones look better than you’d expect. The latest models are the X806 and the C702 but you might have a rough time getting one since they’ll most likely go to China.

The X806 will sport quad-band GSM/GPRS, a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, FM radio, 47MB (nice round number) of internal memory upgradeable via microSD card. The C702 knows how to handle CDMA 1x connectivity and it comes with a 3.4-inch touchscreen display, 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPS, 70MB of internal memory also upgradeable via microSD cards.

How much would you pay to get one of these Philips handsets?

While the C702 strayed a bit with its GPS functionality, the C902 cell phone stays true to the Cybershot name focusing more on its camera capabilities. Within its sleek and slim form factor, the C902 houses a 5-megapixel camera with Face Detection, Auto Focus, Photo Flash, and BestPic technology, which enables shooting up to 9 pictures in quick succession. On the music side, it’s not that different from the C702 with Mega Bass, TrackID, FM Radio, and music tones. The Access NetFront browser seems to be becoming the standard browser for all upcoming Sony Ericsson devices along with RSS feed support, as was the case with the Sony Ericsson’s recent K series and W Series phones.

Like the C702, the Sony Ericsson C902 is slated for a mid-2008 release.

Along with the Xperia X1, Sony Ericsson announced two more new members to its Cybershot series with the C702 and C902, which were already leaked some time ago. The C702 takes a small detour over the previous Cybershot cell phones with the inclusion of aGPS and geotagging of pictures snapped with its 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera together with Google Maps and Wayfinder. Other than that, it sports the usual array of music-centric features like FM Radio, music tones, TrackID, and Mega Bass. This cool new phone is expected to land somewhere in the middle of 2008.
