As more people are joining the fight against breast cancer, iPhone users can now join the fray thanks to this new app released by AIM APPS. The applications developer has released the Breast Cancer Ribbons app for iPhones or iPod Touch, an application that allows you to browse applications and download them directly to your handset.

The Breast Cancer Ribbon app includes more than 50 iPhone or iPod Touch wallpapers, each carrying a different message with a choice of white or black background. These wallpapers serve as a background image that displays on the screen of your iPhone each time it rings or is turned on.

The Breast Cancer Ribbons awareness wallpaper app is now available at the App store for only $0.99

When we come across game apps, the usual objective is to get high scores and of course rewards. We have a lot of this on the iPhone. However, this new game app from GOSUB 60 called Bliss offers something different. Users will still get the standard high scores and rewards but can exchange them for donations over at the Beautiful Day Foundation which supports the fight against cancer.

Bliss is a combination of puzzles and matching games wherein a player would get pink ribbons when they reach a certain milestone. These pink ribbons are then exchanged for points or donations to the Beautiful Day Foundation in their quest to fight the dreaded breast cancer. The foundation is responsible for creating education to women and provides the necessary support for women inflicted with the said disease.

The Bliss app can be downloaded at the Apple App Store for $0.99. The app is also available for download for the Blackberry phones and can be downloaded at the Blackberry App World.

The LG Pink Flare in the picture here isn’t a phone made for Valentine’s. Well, it can be, but it’s main purpose is to help us fight breast cancer. With every purchase $5 will be donated to Susan G. Koman for the Cure, which is the largest breast cancer organization in the world. The phone will be available from Virgin Mobile in the U.S., and the carrier will donate at least $150,000 to the Cure.

The LG Pink Flare is a simple clamshell phone which won’t surprise you with extravagant features. It’s so cheap that you could actually purchase one just for the sake of donating those $5. The Pink Flare will be available at Best Buy only for $29.99.

Samsung has decided to give proper meaning to the “Soul” that was just a name until now. For every one of these pink U800 Soulb cell phones sold in the United Kingdom, Samsung will donate £10 (~$20) to Breakthrough Cancer Foundation to aid in its ongoing battle against breast cancer. Nice to see companies picking up the gauntlet once in a while to help a cause. Other than going pink, this version of the U800 Soulb retains the same features with quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM and 3G support, a 3-megapixel camera, and 1GB of internal memory with microSD expansion. No information on when it will be available, but expect it in the UK sooner rather than later.
