You’ve heard the stories of various inmates smuggling cell phones in prisons. Well that’s not acceptable folks and the U.S. Senate officially said that. In other words prisons will be allowed to use jamming equipment which will turn those cell phones inside the jail useless. That sounds like bad news for those people actually working inside a prison doesn’t it? The “Safe Prisons Communications Act” will go now to the House where it should also pass without any problems. Would satellite phones work while regular phones will be jammed? Here’s something to think about when considering sneaking a phone in your cell, getting a satellite handset!

That’s right, in a presumably green movement T-Mobile has announced that they will begin charging their customers $1.50 a month to recieve a printed out bill.
This will be added on to the previous monthly charge of $1.99 that T-Mobile had their customers paying to recieve a detailed statement. So folks, if you want to view a detailed printed statement you’re looking at an extra $1.50 added onto your monthly bill starting September 12th.
Or you, you know, just view it digitally for free, but what’s the fun in that?

I remember when I was younger, unlimited texting wasn’t as affordable as it is now and whenever my phone bill was exessive my parents threatened to give my phone’s service the axe. Well, it looks like one parent by the name of Gregg Christoffersen decided to take the axing to a whole new level.
13 year old Dena Christoffersen, Gregg’s daughter, managed to send and/or receive 20,000 text messages in 1 month alone. Of course, her parents didn’t sign up for unlimited texting resulting in a staggering $4,750 phone bill. Hours after receiving the bill, Gregg proceeded to smash his daughter’s cellphone effectively solving the problem ensuring it would never happen again.
MSNBC reports that Verizon has agreed to drop the bill to a more reasonable price, lucky for Gregg. At least we know it wasn’t an iPhone.
