On the graphics card the BenQ R46 has a GMA X4500HD, and the high-definition is present in audio too, thanks to the built-in speakers and microphone.

Benq isn’t exactly breaking ground with its cell phones, although I do have a certain spot for their computer peripherals. In the same vein, the e55 is just a phone with a dash of style mixed in a clamshell form factor.
The e55 works on GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz and WCDMA 2100 networks with GPRS and EDGE support. The only highlight, if you can call it that, is inclusion of Bluetooth with support for the usual array of Bluetooth profiles. All this is crammed into a stylish flip phone with a smooth finish, but mind you, this is just what’s been doing the rounds on the internet and that’s what we will get until the official announcement on complete details on the e55 including its price and release date.

Benq has just announced the C36 music phone, a successor to its earlier C30. The phone is similar in design and style to the C30, but has several improvements over its predecessor. It weighs an almost unnoticeable 78g and has a unique top-key design with dedicated keys for FM radio, MP3 player, and the 1.3 megapixel camera onboard. If you think this isn’t any different from the other music phones out there, think again. The C36 has the ability to record FM radio and the 1.3mpx integrated camera can record videos in AVI format, a big difference from others if you ask me. The camera can also act as a webcam when connected to a PC. There is a 2.0 inch LCD display, too small to make use of the included ebook reader or the photo editor. The phone is equipped with dual speakers and supports microSD expansion for up to 2GB. The C36 also comes with a health management application for the health-conscious music lover. There aren’t too many options in the connectivity segment with just USB 1.1 support and WAP/GPRS.
The C36 will be available in Indonesia starting this month with a graduated release world over.

BenQ has just released the M7 mobile phone, with some features regular handsets don’t usually include. It is a tough phone, capable of resisting any forces, although this one stands out through a stylish and appealing design that looks less rugged than the phone really is.
The curved shape and smooth lines could deceive people into thinking that this is only a regular mobile phone, one that provides the average features in a modern but elegant design. It looks like BenQ M7 is covered in a protective case that should prevent natural elements such as water, sand or a bear’s claw getting past it and making the phone impossible to use. That’s pretty tough, but not in the classic way, as the phone has a smooth, slightly curved shape and a pretty compact size.
An impressive aspect about this handset is the fact that it is 3G enabled, which enables high data transfer speeds. Moreover, a very useful feature in the case of an outdoor phone is the A-GPS support that will surely help the owners find their way around, no matter the situation.
The phone also includes a media player, to break the monotony with some urban entertainment. It also comes equipped with a 2 megapixel camera, but it will surely not make the best of the great sceneries from the top of the mountain that the user might want to take. There is also a secondary VGA camera, for placing video calls through the 3G technology.

BenQ-Siemens has come out with a strikingly new cell phone design in the form of a concept phone called the SL98 Slider. The main display slides out on the top when needed, otherwise you have just the bottom half of the phone in your hand. Feels a bit weird, don’t you think? It mostly looks like a pocket calculator, with the small external display to show caller information and such.
Once the primary display pops out, you can also use the camera at its back. Otherwise, it is pretty much standard-fare. Will this stay as a concept phone in the BenQ-Siemens labs or hit the market some time in the near future? Hold on to your hats, we’ll get the news as it happens.

No more damaged hard disks or electronic devices; or thats the plan anyway, as Sony files its patent on liquid airbags for electronics.
The device is to be wrapped in a fluid-filled bag, with liquid acting as a precautionary cushion in case of impact or shock.
It is intended for smaller devices like cell phones, hard drives, and mp3 players; but may make its way to laptops.
Will this also help put out all the recent laptops a-flame?
