We have a new trial for you and this time it involves Tsera which claims that it has invented the touchpad and hence everyone else using it will have to pay for the privilege. Tsera says that Apple, Microsoft, LG, Philips, Bang & Olufsen, iriver, Coby, Cowon and Meizu are all in violation of a patent owned by the company. The patent is called “Methods and apparatus for controlling a portable electronic device using a touchpad.” And nobody has paid any money to Tsera for using the technology. Given the big names involved in this huge trial we should expect Tsera to walk away with lots of settlements cash in its pocket.

Dear Santa, can you bring me something expensive, I don’t need actually need it, but just so people will envy me for it? Pretty please? Well I don’t really need that and I am not even exactly sure how much these Bang & Olufsen speakers will cost. But you just have to love the Christmas season! Everybody turns into a shopaholic this month and they should! And maybe some of us will even get this speaker system.

It’s a Bang & Olufsen speaker system that changed color. We are talking about white loudspeakers. That’s right, just differently colored. The fabrics are made by Italian Silanco and they passed the sound quality tests of B&O. Those two combined will guarantee great quality sound and appeareance, even after 6-8 years.

No news on the price tag just yet, but it might be really expensive Santa!

Samsung Serenata by Bang & Olufsen

Tired of those plain designs of phones from Nokia and Sony Ericsson? Then check out this new design from Bang & Olufsen and Samsung. Its called the Serenata and because its from Bang & Olufsen, it ought to be great!

With a new innovative design, Bang & Olufsen placed the controller on its latest design creation above the screen, to lie surprisingly comfortably for the thumb to do its music-spinning worst.

Like your iPod Nanos Click Wheel, its touch sensitive and will scroll through tracks and artists. HSDPA is on-board for web browsing on the 2.4in screen but it’s definitely a music player first; there’s a healthy 4GB of storage and the bundled EarSet 3 earbuds should keep everything sounding sweet.

For communal listening, the built-in speaker promises to trick the ear into believing its a bass fiend without the need for a sub or you can hook it up to a stereo via the silver designer dock that also charges and syncs.

No word on how much you’ll have to pay for this mobile music confection, but if you find this one offered as a free upgrade on your contract, snap it up quick.
