The latest Blackberry smartphone buzz out there has to be leaning more towards the Blackberry Bold 9700. And while it has gained FCC approval, indications on what company would be carrying it was practically given away thanks to the AWS (WCDMA Band IV) which pointed to this being a T-Mobile version phone. Now all you have to do is wait and see when it will officially be coming out and how much it would cost.

The FCC has confirmed that the HTC Rhodium aka the Wing 2 is going to come to T-Mobile’s AWS 3G network. The phone will have features like: Qualcomm 7201A processor, 512MB ROM, 256MB RAM, a 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen display, a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, FM Radio and microSDHC support, 3G connectivity and Windows Mobile 6.1
Pricing details and availability dates haven’t been confirmed just yet but at least we know T-Mobile subscribers will get the Wing 2 soon.

As T-Mobile continues deploying its 3G network across the country, Sony Ericsson has decided to add one more affordable 3G cell phone to its network, one that also supports the upcoming AWS (advanced wireless spectrum) 1700 band, the TM506. We knew that this clamshell is capable of supporting triband 850/1800/1900 GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual-band UMTS/HSDPA 1700/2100, but the AWS support was not brought to light until the official press release now. An ideal solution for customers looking a cheap 3G fix and a 2.0-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and microSD slot to complement it. The TM506 is scheduled for a release on September 3rd at an undetermined price.
