For people shopping on a budget, put your groceries in check. With no idea of how much items would cost, it would be best to find a handy reference device to guide you when you start doing your groceries. ShopSavvy identified this need and has made use of MyWebGrocer’s grocery data to help shoppers in finding relevant products and pricing at local grocery stores.

“Grocery data has been a challenge for ShopSavvy from the very start. More than 25% of ShopSavvy users have scanned more than a million grocery items with limited success over the past year,” said Alexander Muse co-founder of Big in Japan.

Indeed, the data from groceries help a lot when it comes to being clueless on how much a certain product would cost. With today’s crisis affecting practically anybody, being able to prioritize goods that they actually need or substitute products so that they can fit everything in their grocery budget.

MyWebGrocer is currently live on ShopSavvy and relevant CPG Advertising is being deployed this quarter on the application.

Thanks to a software, any running windows application can be remotely controlled via WiFi or 3G connection with the use of an iPhone. Gooer Corp., a leading service provider of Remote Desktop solutions, announced Windows applications support for the iPhone.

By using the Remote Desktop channel, Gooer developed remote application technology. Instead of showing the user’s whole desktop, it can show only the application window. With this technology, Gooer enables running any Windows application on iPhone as if it were running locally.

For customers, they can directly use this iPhone software to access EMR, CRM, ERP or any other enterprise software located on their office PC. Compared to the remote desktop, it is much more convenient because the customer only need handle one application window now.

For software companies, they can use this technology to deliver their software to iPhone users in just minutes. The real program is running on a Windows 2003 server, but for the customer, it looks like a local iPhone application. Gooer also provides customization service to make the end users hardly realize it is a remote application.

People who want to use their Blackberry Smartphones to watch full episodes of popular TV programs from leading networks can be able to do so with the launch of PrimeTime2Go premium mobile TV service.

The monthly subscription fee-based service will be available in early May via the BlackBerry App World storefront, and will enable consumers to download and watch full-length episodes of their favorite shows on-demand including NBC’s “The Office,” CBS’s “CSI,” MTV’s “The Hills,” a part of MTV Networks, and The CW’s “90210” anytime, anywhere.

QuickPlay will offer PrimeTime2Go in the US on the BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphones, which are currently available to AT&T and T-Mobile customers. The service will allow customers to easily browse extensive catalogs of content and download selected programs to their smartphone in the background, thereby allowing them to use other services while shows are loading.

Following the download, subscribers will be able to watch their selected program on their schedule until the pre-determined viewing period expires. All selected content will be delivered over Wi-Fi which provides cost savings, since it will not impact the user’s data usage.

For added convenience, subscribers will have the ability to watch the TV shows offline. PrimeTime2Go will also provide capabilities that allow consumers to pause a program, exit the application and then resume viewing from where they left off upon re-entering the service.

PrimeTime2Go will be available in early May, as a $7.99 monthly subscription. To access the service, subscribers will need to visit BlackBerry App World storefront on their compatible smartphones, browse to the “Music and Video” category, select PrimeTime2Go, and then follow the instructions to download and install the application.
