The Anycall Origin or the SCH-W690 from Samsung is a phone made for the active seniors. The handset has a 2.6 inch AM-OLED screen, a front-facing camera, a 2 megapixel camera, FM radio, GPS and 8GB of internal memory. Well it’s certainly a great phone to use no matter who the buyer is.

Other features include the smile-shutter feature which will help you capture photos automatically of subjects when they smile. There are also some health related features which might come in hand to those active seniors.

For now the phone is available in Korea where it has been launched but we don’t have any pricing details yet.

  • Wonder how many more sliders Samsung has got in store for us this year. The latest in line is the SPH-W5200 in its Anycall series of cell phones, which seems to be destined for a Korea-only release for now, given that it will be available on Korea’s KTF network. You will find the same terrestrial DMB support that every other Korean handset seems to have along with a 2-megapixel camera, mp3 player, and microSD support. It also supports HSDPA with video calling and has Bluetooth 2.0 to take care of your wireless needs. The SPH-W5200 is available now on KTF at an unknown price.
