  • People who own iPods or iPhones have had their share of worthy docking stations and speakers to help make some noise and share the tunes they have stored in them. But when you talk about quality, nothing beats Altec Lansing, a brand familiar for providing us with high quality audio complements.

And while Altec Lansing has a couple of docking stations in the market made for the iPods today, here is a new one in the Mix IMT800. It looks like a standard stereo component that was in use some years back which should really put an exclamation point towards quality audio sound rendering.

It features a universal dock, dome tweeters, two mid range drivers, a 5.25” side-firing subwoofer, 5.25” tuned passive radiator and an integrated digital FM radio. Like most iPod docks, it gives owners the choice of being powered up through the usual electric socket or through 8 D batteries. With the batteries, iPod owners can expect something portable as they share their tunes wherever they may choose to go.

The Altec Lansing MIX IMT800 is priced at $300.00.
