Lenovo’s ThinkCentre A70z

What you see above is Lenovo’s recently announced ThinkCentre A70z all-in-one desktop computer. This computer won’t actually make its way onto store shelves until the end of this month but when it does it will start at $499.

Anyways, the A70z features either an Intel Celeron or Core 2 Duo processor, up to 500GB of hard drive space, a DVD burner and the option for built-in WiFi. Oh yeah, did we mention it has a 19-inch screen?

The Asus Eee Keyboard should have been available by now but this hot netbook is not coming anytime soon. Asus has delayed the launch and we might see it arrive in stores only sometime in October. There’s no official announcement just yet, but people say that the Eee Keyboard will cost somewhere in the $400-$500 range and that Asus will launch it after the Eee Top All-in-One PC that’s coming in September. So what do you think? Is it worth waiting for it?

AMD is ready to make a move in the nettop and all-in-one PC business. The company already has a platform ready to compete against Intel’s Atom platform. The Neo has so far remained pretty quiet but AMD is apparently going to use it in future nettops and all-in-one PCs. Here’s what Bob Grim, AMD’s director of client marketing said:

We’ve known all along that this type of technology would really work well in multiple platforms and multiple types of form factors. These CPUs perform better than the Atom processor, and the graphics are superior. These things… can play Blu-rays, they can play games.

AMD hasn’t revealed any details regarding any future products but we’re suspecting it’s only a matter of time until it does. What would you choose between Intel’s Atom and AMD’s Neo platform?

A few days ago we reported to you about eMachine’s latest all-in-one offering. Today, Dell has announced a similar product, although this one packs more of a punch. What you see above is Dell’s Vostro all-in-one desktop.

This all-in-one desktop will give buyers the option for either a Core 2 Duo or Pentium dual core processor, 2GB of RAM and a 160GB harddrive all at a starting price right around $629. Couple this with its 19-inch display and you have a none too bad desktop option all packed into a fashionable form factor.

While the Vostro all-in-one desktop is currently available in Japan and China now, expect it to be made available in North America on August 11th.

eMachines is proud ot announce the launch of their all-in-one EZ1601-01 PC, pictured above. Those looking for a high powered machine better look away.

Spec wise, the EZ1601 is pretty similar to that found in netbooks you’d currently find on the market with its 1.6GHz Interl Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, GMA 950 integrated graphics card, 160GB HDD and built-in speakers. That’s about where the similarities end, however, as it also features a 8x DVD burner, a multicard reader, five USB 2.0 ports, and an 18.5-inch display.

Given the specs, you’re going to be paying somewhat of a premium for the EZ1601-01’s form factor as it’s currently priced at $399.99 pre-installed with Windows XP. Any takers?

Not exactly the most portable devices, all-in-one PCs come in handy. They will save you some desk space and they will always be ready to go. Sony has launched three new all-in-one Vaio PCs which we’re going to inspect.

The Vaio JS, in the picture above, is a huge desktop. It has a 20.1 inch screen which has a 1,680 x 1,050 resolution. There’s a webcam above the screen and a speaker bar below. The Vaio JS has a 3.0GHz Core 2 Duo E8400 processor, 4GB of RAM, an integrated Intel GMA 4500HD graphics card, a 500GB and a standard DVD burner. The PC will cost around $1,000 if you’re interested.

The Vaio LS has a floating mirror design which resembles the Vaio LT19U. It has a 24 inch display which can deliver a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution. Inside you will find either Blu-ray or regular drives, up to 1TB of hard drive space, and an HDMI input. Pricing starts at $1,600 depending on what you choose.

The last PC is Sony’s Vaio RT. It’s an even bigger model. It has a 25.5 inch LCD and inside it has an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU, up to 8GB of RAM, a 512MB GeForce 9600M GT graphics card and up to 1TB hard drive. A Blu-ray drive comes as standard and the RT has a pair of TV tuners and both HDMI in and out.

All models will feature WLAN and they will be available sometimes this fall. If you needed a new all-in-one, maybe it’s time to act and get a Vaio PC.

  • The LoCO2PC PC from Akhter looks like an LCD monitor. Well a rather big one. And it’s supposed to be an environment friendly all-in-one PC too. Inside there’s a Celeron dual-core or a Core 2 Duo processor, SXGA (1,280 X 1,024 ) resolution, a 250GB hard drive and 802.11b/g WiFi. The whole “mechanism” uses 55 Watts while in use and only 3 Watts when in sleep mode.

This PC will certainly leave its mark on your wallet. Depending on what you choose to arrange inside you will be paying from $975 to $1,156 to get one.
