Samsung decided to make an interesting, and funny at the same time commercial, for its Jet phone while trying to make it look like the real thing. The video above shows you exactly what Samsung pulled off. Two elephants are bungee jumping from a ship in front of the amazed audience. The moment is so unique and short that nobody except for a Samsung Jet can capture it. And since Samsung tries so desperately to make it look like the real thing we should enter its game and assume the space ship belongs to one of Samsung’s top executives. In which case we’d like to see more of it in the following Jet ads.

  • Google has been offering Adsense for use on mobile handsets for some time now but has generally left iPhone and Android application developers turning to services like AdMob.

Today, Google has launched a beta program for Adsense for Mobile Applications which will allow mobile developers to display adsense ads directly in the application of choice.

Since it’s only a beta, the program is currently only open to application developers.

More information can be had here.

Microsoft has started a new advertising campaign in which it stresses out the usefulness of PCs and the better price they come with. Sure Apple are more popular but they are also more expensive. Apple didn’t wait around and it has shot four new “I’m a Mac” commercials:

    • Time Traveler: in the year 2150 PCs still get errors
    • Stacks: PC can’t find people’s faces in his photos. Too bad he doesn’t have that new recognition software from iPhoto.
    • Legal Copy: PC is friendly and easy to use. Too bad there’s that huge text to read.
    • Biohazard Suit: Macs don’t need anti-virus programs

So which one did you like better?

Rumors regarding Microsoft’s buyout of Yahoo have once again begun circulating the web. This time news comes from the New York Times who have apparently gotten in touch with some anonymous sources who say that Micrsoft and Yahoo are definitley in talks, again.

Although the first rumors were regarding a complete takeover, these new rumors point to a partial buyout or possibly even a partnership between the two companies.

Will this be enough to topple Google? Probably not, but if Microsoft and Yahoo were to merge they would be sure to give Google a run for their money.
