It’s no secret that the iPhone doesn’t support Flash and most likely won’t until Apple decides to lift the restriction. However, some people evidently have been thinking it was Adobe’s fault that there is no Flash on the iPhone, as you can see from the above picture.

Of course, Adobe isn’t exactly getting angry at Apple but they are telling consumers exactly what they need to know; Flash won’t be on the iPhone until Apple says it can.

The phone of the day is definitely the newly announced HTC Hero. Besides that Sense UI which we heard it’s going to be available to other Android devices, we heard that Adobe has Flash support ready for the Hero too.

The Hero is therefore the first Android phone that will have support for Flash and Adobe has already shown that to everyone. Flash movies and Flash games are all going to be supported in Hero’s browser so in case you want a new Android phone, the Hero looks exactly like what you wised for.

In the video above, Adobe’s own Adrian Ludwig is showing off Flash in action on this Android phone so you should enjoy the video and start waiting impatiently for the phone to be shipped to your home address.

You have been probably waiting for Adobe to finish its Flash 10 for smartphones already but the company doesn’t have a final version just yet. Good news though, that Flash 10 is going to be available by the end of the year, at least in beta. According to its latest earnings presentation Flash 10 beta for smartphone will be available sometime in October. The software will be available for smartphones made by Nokia and Palm or running Google and Microsoft OS.

Adobe isn’t developing Flash for the iPhone on its own. Or at least, not anymore. The company has decided to team up with iPhone’s founders and make Flash happen for the iPhone. Adobe’s chief Shantanu Narayen said that the development of Flash is more complicated than it seems thus the need of Apple’s help.

It’s a hard technical challenge, and that’s part of the reason Apple and Adobe are collaborating. The ball is in our court. The onus is on us to deliver.

Will Adobe and Apple come up with a decent Flash version able to run on iPhone’s hardware? Will we see a Flash Lite version which won’t be able to rise to our expectations? When will we see Flash on the iPhone?

Verizon Wireless and Smashing Ideas, a digital media studio, unveiled 4 new Adobe Flash Lite  games for Verizon customers. Flash Lite for mobile phones has been around for a while, and while the iPhone does not support it yet, it is still slated for greater adoption when it comes to delivering interactive content on mobile phones.

The new games include Boomerang Stan, Custom Shop, Shooting Starfish and Poker Solitaire, bringing the total number of Smashing Games to 28. As usual, the mobile games can be purchased and downloaded onto your Verizon phone from the Verizon Exclusives and Puzzle Games categories in the Games shopping area of Get It Now, or the Media Center virtual store.
