Acoustic Research has a new universal smart remote control, codenamed ARRU449. Unlike other remotes that don’t have any good wireless options, this one comes with WiFi, which is a good start, right?

The main function of the device is to inform you about weather conditions, while you’re inside your house deciding if it is worth it to go out for a walk. Thanks to the 2.2-inch LCD screen and the WiFi connection, you can get all the needed information in the palm of your hand. It can keep you updated about other areas as well, be it TV listings, sports, and more.

As expected, the universal ARRU449 is compatible with plenty of TVs, DVD players, stereo systems, and other devices that work with a remote control.
