All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

It seems that a leaked document has shown two new BlackBerry colorways coming to Sprint in the near future. As you can see, there will be an Inferno Orange 8330 soft launching today with a Red BlackBerry Curve 8350i launching towards the end of this month.

With phones such as the Bold and Tour circulating, will these two new colorways spark enough interest to increase BlackBerry Curve sales? I mean, the Inferno Orange does sound enticing, don’t you think?

If you aren’t the cameraphone kind of person (or if your office doesn’t allow you to be one), Sprint’s camera-less BlackBerry Curve 8350i is an option.  The 2-megapixel camera will be the only thing you will miss as the rest of the specs are the same as the original that we told you about when it released last December. Here’s a refresher if you have forgotten already:

  • BlackBerry OS 4.6
  • GPS
  • WiFi
  • Bluetooth 2.0
  • Full QWERTY keypad
  • Push to Talk
  • 1400 mAh removable battery

Available now on Sprint for the same $149.99 after a $230 discount and $100 mail-in rebate on a two-year agreement.

Well then iDEN fans will definitely love this release. Sprint Nextel launched the BlackBerry Curve 8350i so if you are a push-to-talk person, you should definitely check it out. This RIM smartphone will wear OS 4.6 and it will have WiFi and GPS support. It has a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 and microSDHC support. It comes with International Direct Connect and Talkgroup support and it will get you talking to your friends in no time. The full QWERTY keyboard is right there of course and the 1400 mAH battery is removable. The phone is available for $149.99 with a two year contract and it should be your first choice when choosing push-to-talk smartphone.
Danny Bowman, president of Nextel Direct Connect said:

The BlackBerry Curve 8350i smartphone is the most recent example of our solid commitment to iDEN technology and our Nextel Direct Connect customers. The BlackBerry Curve 8350i smartphone is designed for customers who require instant convenient push-to-talk services to communicate with friends and family as well as with employees, customers and suppliers. The BlackBerry Curve 8350i is a premium smartphone that strikes a perfect balance between performance and usability.

If you are one of those eagerly awaiting the new BlackBerry Curve 8350i, continue waiting. But to ease the wait a bit, Sprint has just unveiled a new site where interested customers can sign up to be notified when the Curve 8350i will hit the stores and also catch a small demo of its push-to-talk feature in action. PTT aside, the BlackBerry Curve 8350i also has GPS, WiFi, a 2-megapixel camera, and Group Connect functions. The signup page can be found here.
