All The Latest Cell Phone, Gadget and Tech News

Can someone explain why there are so many gadgets colored in pink? Is it because women love the color pink? I guess so… So anyway, good news for lovers of pink gadgets, because Nokia has presented the Illuvial Colletion, which basically takes some Nokia models and adds a color + goodies.

The Nokia 5530, 6303, and 6700 were the chosen models for this collection, and besides getting the pink colors, they are also come with a leather case and strap. And there are even a few pink backgrounds for the cellphone included in the deal. The Illuvial Collection is already available on the UK and will become available on Europe in the following weeks.

  • It seems that Nokia has just recently put the 5530 XpressMusic handset up for pre-order over at their US site. The device is currently listen at $289.99 with the addition of free Nokia mini speakers.

If you don’t remember, this device features a 640×360 touchscreen display, 3.2MP camera with LED flash, 70MB of internal memory, a microSD slot for up to 16GB of additional storage with a 4GB card included, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth, WiFi and EDGE.

As you can tell from the name, this Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is for music listeners, those who are looking for a business oriented smart phone need not apply.

If you couldn’t afford the 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia now has another affordable option in the same XpressMusic category that goes by the number 5530.  Key features include a big touchscreen display that is 2.9 inches wide capable of display at 640×360 pixels, a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, a 3.5 mm headset jack, 70MB of internal memory which can be bumped up to 16GB via MicroSD (4GB card included), Bluetooth 2.0, and WiFi.  Sadly though, the 5530 XpressMusic tops out with GPRS/EDGE network connectivity.  We definitely like the price at just about $278, but the lack of 3G/HSDPA support will certainly be a big turn-off when the phone starts shipping in the third quarter of this year.
