The iPhone 3G S Is the iPhone 3GS

You might have noticed how everyone around the Internet is calling Apple’s latest iPhone differently. So what’s the phone’s name people? Is it iPhone 3G S or iPhone 3GS? Well it looks like Apple is definitely going with the no space version. So the new iPhone will be known as the 3GS forever. No more space between 3G and S.

At first we were referring to it as the iPhone 3GS but then we noticed how Apple is calling it the 3G S and thus we adapted. It seems that Apple doesn’t like that space there. Just check their website and you’ll noticed how the space has magically disappeared.

iPhone 3GS owners will not be able to unlock their handset right now but everyone still playing with an iPhone 3G that’s running iPhone 3.0 can now unlock it. The iPhone Dev Team has clear instructions for you so all you have to do is backup your phone and use Ultrasn0w to unlock it:

1. Ensure you have upgraded to iPhone OS 3.0
2. Jailbreak your iPhone 3G using redsn0w or PwnageTool (this will also install Cydia/Icy)
3. Run Cydia or Icy
4. Please add the repo repo666.ultrasn0w.com to Cydia or Icy. That last “o” is actually the number zero “0”! If you use the letter “o” you’ll get an error.
5. Search for ‘ultrasn0w’ in cydia or icy and install ultrasn0w
6. Reboot your iPhone 3G
7. T-Mobile USA users should disable 3G before using ultrasn0w
8. Enjoy

While everyone’s eyes and ears are wrapped around the iPhone 3G S or the Pre these days we, Microsoft is quietly getting ready to go for the gold in the gaming industry. As expected Microsoft has done it! The company has a new console ready to take advantage of your every move and gesture. Called Project Natal, the new console will be available in stores next year, although there’s no definitive date just yet. We have no prices either but by 2010 Steve Ballmer should definitely uncover more hot details about the new gadget. For now he has confirmed to those present at The Executives Club of Chicago that the Xbox 360 motion control interface will be available in 2010. Ready for some competition all mighty Wii?

Well folks I’d hate to be an Italian customer walking in a Vodafone shop for a new iPhone 3G S. People say that the iPhone 3G S will be really expensive and we can expect prices of 719 Euros for the 32GB version and 619 Euros for the 16GB version. The prices are incredibly high and we can only assume they will apply to customers not qualifying for a subsidized price. We’re expecting Vodafone to come clean and announce the subsidized prices soon.

We received word the other day that Apple has already shipped some of the pre-ordered iPhone 3G S phones. And while your UPS guy might have informed you that your new iPhone is going to be shipped to your door before June 19, that will not happen. Apple has issued some kind of order to UPS to hold those early but very precious packages. The shipped iPhone 3G S phones have now this status:

THE RECEIVER REQUESTED A HOLD FOR A FUTURE DELIVERY DATE. UPS WILL ATTEMPT DELIVERY ON DATE REQUESTED.

That means you’ll just have to wait until Friday to get the phone. Let us know if you receive the iPhone earlier though!
