It looks like 3.5G networks are being developed by various carriers out there. Canada’s Telus makes no exception. The company has announced the arrival of their 3.5G HSPA network. It is scheduled to be launch in early 2010. By that time Telus will be working hard on getting it fully functional in Canada.
Telus is going to work side by side with Bell. That two carriers will finish developing the new network faster and cheaper than if they worked alone. Telus is expecting to pay around $750 million for the upgrade in 2009 alone. HSPA in their 3G networks? Ericsson and Dell are going to implement smart 3G and 3.5G support solutions in future Dell laptops. It’s estimated that by 2010 each year approximately 200 million laptops will be sold. That’s impressive at least!
What do all those customers have in common? Mobility. Ultimately every person buying a notebook so they can take it with them. Whether for work or solely for fun, being able to move your data and to access them at any given time is a blessing. And with better and better power solutions for those batteries, and with thinner and faster laptops it’s no wonder that so many people have at least one notebook at their disposal.

Samsung had a treat, at least for the media, announcing its latest Anycall MusiCall mobile phone series. The Samsung Anycall F338 release was backed up with mini live-concert performances of singers like Justin Cheng, Kary Ng and RubberBand. Samsung promises an ultimate sound experience on the Anycall F338 phone.
Available in a slider design, the Samsung Anycall F338 provides quick access to the phone’s music interface. It supports A2DP - advanced audio distribution profile - for stereo Bluetooth. With support for 3.5G (HSDPA) networks for high-speed data transfer, the phone brings with it a 2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom. A secondary VGA camera is available for video conferencing.
The Anycall F338 supports 4GB microSDHC memory cards for expanded memory.
