LG Electronics unveils another mini nettop that should give ASUS a run for their money. The LG XPION XS30 Ion-based nettop features an Atom N230 CPU, 2GB of RAM 250GB HDD and comes with a Windows Vista OS. It has four USB ports and weighs only 2.4 lbs.
It consumes only 40 watts of power and can be easily mounted to the back of LCDs that have provisions for such nettops. The LG XPION X30 nettop is scheduled for release in Korea tomorrow.

The age of tape recorders are gone and in their place comes handy mobile devices such as the slim A33 voice recorder from SAFA.
The said recorder has been launched in the Korean market and boast of 264 hours of recording time. The A33 features A-B repeat function, 2GB of storage capacity and more. It is available in white silver and dark silver.
Though nothing was mentioned on whether this new slim voice recorder would be available in the U.S. or any other country, it should not be surprising to see it make its way into other markets.

I am sucker for USB flash drives. The cooler it looks the more I’d want to get it. What I should be looking is storage space and transfer speeds right? Wrong! I evaluate the overall visual impression.
And today I found an USB sandal flash drive which would remind me of summer. If you’re happy with just 2GB of memory then go pick a sandal up. You can always get a pair of those if you need more space. The 2GB Sandal USB Flash Drive costs just $17. I’ll have a size 9 and 1/2 please!

The small drive only measures 29.9mm x 15.3mm x 6.1mm, so if volume is one of your main concerns this is definitely a good pick. You have to be Canadian (sorry everyone) in order to get this deal. And you would have to contact your local RBC Royal Bank branch to go through the necessary steps in order to get this free computer. I actually wonder what the catch is for them to afford buying as many laptops, each one worth $300. I am sure they will get their money back from their future customers right?
Nevertheless this is a good marketing idea. Offering an Asus Eee PC is so much more than offering a $25 gift card. I wonder where this innovative idea lead to, in terms of bank services. Who’s going to be the first bank to offer a free iPhone?

There are a couple of two new flash MP3 players from mpio. They seem to be mostly targeted at first-time users, seeing that they offer only flash memory, that too in the low capacities of 1GB and 2GB. The new models are the ML300 (1GB) and ML300 (2GB). With support for both MP3 (8 to 320 kbps) and WMA (32 to 355 kbps), a useful feature on the ML300s is the ability to record voice, which can be helpful in taking down notes and sudden bursts of idea.
Both models feature a blue-backlit 4-line display. When connected to your computer’s USB drive, it can double up as a mass storage device. There’s an added bonus in the form of an FM radio receiver. The built-in equalizer has 8 presets. mpio claims an audio playback time of about 15 hours on a single AAA alkaline battery, but YMMV.
Measuring 28.2mm x 19.3mm x 65.9mm, the mpio ML300 1GB and 2GB models weigh in at 23 grams and are available for ¥4,980 (US $44) for the 1GB model and ¥6,980 (US $62) for the 2GB model.
