We were expecting a $10 laptop to arrive from India and the Indian government has almost delivered one. Except that the Sakshat is going to cost $20 not $10. The Sakshat, which means, “before your eyes” will be ready to ship in about six months or so. Those getting one will get 2GB of storage space. WiFi, Ethernet and 2W of power consumption. But we have no idea about the screen size, the RAM or the processor. Is the Sakshat a viable computer? Can it really be manufactured for that amount of money?

Here’s something everyone might like although we have no idea when it will arrive in a store near us. It’s the dual touchscreen OLPC 2.0. nothing official and the blurriness isn’t helping at all. Now what gadgets would sport this dual touchscreen? We’re waiting for laptops, netbooks, MID and of course cell phones! When will someone launch one of these dual touchscreen gadgets? We have no idea yet so we’ll be waiting for some sort of confirmation for this cool thing in the picture here.
