It looks like the G1 is quite the iPhone killer, isn’t it? From what we heard, T-Mobile has managed to pre-sell every phone it had available. Then they started a second run and sold that too. No less than 1.5 million G1s have been sold to date. Add to that the sales which are going to occur when the phone lands in T-Mobile stores and the G1 might sell just as good as the iPhone in the first weekend.

I think that Apple and Google will wager a real war in the mobile business. The iPhone and the G1 will sell really good. And the Storm isn’t even out there!

Apple announced that it has sold its one millionth iPhone yesterday. That’s 1,000,000 phones in just 74 days - since its release with much fanfare on June 29 this year. Steve Jobs said that the million milestone - something that took nearly two years to achieve with the iPod - was hit in just 74 days with the iPhone.

With the recent iPhone price drop, the numbers can only go up.
