On Monday, Google updated the Android SDK to version 0.9, nearing ever closer to the final 1.0 version. Android 0.9 includes several changes:
Removal of the Bluetooth API
Removal of the GTalkService protocol
New Home Screen
Alarm Clock, Calculator, Camera, Music player, Picture viewer, and messaging
Keep in mind, this still isn’t the final version of the SDK so when phones running Android finally come out, code produced using the 0.9 SDK might not be recognized by the 1.0 OS.
However, Android developer Dan Morril posted on his blog that the platform is now pretty stable and no major changes are expected when 1.0 comes out.
Developers interested in the Android platform can download the new SDK here.
