A few weeks ago T-Mobile decided to try the paper free route with customer bills, and the plan to achieve this was pretty simple - charge $1.50 per month. Good idea? Not really…
After informing all (33 million) customers that everyone who didn’t opt for the internet version would have to pay that small fee, customers got “angry” and cried a bit, which was enough for T-Mobile to reverse their decision, which means the billing paper is still free for everyone, at least for now. Take in consideration that the plan was suppose to go live this past Saturday, but it can be considered an epic fail.

One Response for "T-Mobile tries to go paper-free in billing fee"
People need to be motivated, and apparently all it takes is a buck fifty to rile up the masses. I buy that some people can’t access the internet, even those using cellphones… but I don’t buy that it’s not a comparable if not superior method of billing when there was such a huge response from the customer base— paperless bills jumped from 1,000 to 33,000 with the paper bill fee.
