19 Oct 08 T-Mobile to Offer Free Companion Flight 2008
Besides the 3G network expansion, T-Mobile is getting ready to offer you a special promotion. The Free Companion Flight 2008 is the new offer for all customers. When someone activates, renews or migrates to a new 2-year service agreement between November 19th and December 24th s/he will be eligible to receive a Free Companion Flight when an additional ticket is purchased at full fare from a T-Mobile site.
There are 112 origins and 110 destinations offered, so in case you are planning a trip later this year you might want to renew your T-Mobile agreement before. Postpaid, FlexPay Annual Contract, Take Control, SmartAccess and KidConnect are all eligible for the program for up to five free companion flights.

Free flight offer. The largest marketing cock up was the now infamous Hoover free flight promotion of the 90’s, let’s hope this free flight offer from T mobile go’s smoothly.
What a joke. My wife and I took advantage of this “deal”. When we booked the flight, the cost for a single traveler was exactly the cost of two travelers if booked on the carrier’s web site instead of T-Mobile’s site – plus an additional “booking fee”. We were better off not using it.
This ‘deal’ worked great for me! No issues what-so-ever, and saved money contrary to Jim’s experience. On top of the money I saved, it was SUPER simple and convenient to book my trip. I definitely recommend this promotion.
wordjaxon user, above, is most likely a hired-hand as this promotion is clearly of no use to anyone who tries to use it. Just search on the web some more. You’ll see.
Tried for two weeks to book flights with our free companion flight vouchers. Haven’t been able to book anything at all. No seats to anywhere! When I finally found two tickets at a much higher price than the airline’s published fare, I tried to contact T-Mobile for the promised price match (they will match the fare only after they add an extra percentage for their trouble, of course). I only got voicemails until the price match time limit ran out. Interesting. Back to the website and GUESS WHAT? No flights at all – Zilch. Not for San Francisco, Boston, New Orleans or anyplace else in the entire U.S.A. Very profitable promotion for T-Mobile, but they’ll pay when people say “Heck, No!” to their next renewal offer.
The free companion flight is garbage! I had my fiance cancel his plan with Sprint and pay 200 cancellation fee because we thought it made sense to save on our trip we were planning on the summer..Well when I got my booking number to book the flight and absoluetly no flights are available. I called customer service and they told me to call 605-978-2173 so i did and the rep told me that have no flights availble right now and i need to keep checking every day because they update the system everyday with new flights available..Well three months passed of me checking everyday and still nothing is available..I have been a customer for 4years and never had a problem until now..I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED AND I AM REPORTING THEM TO THE BBB AND GOING TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL.I have called them several of times and no one seems to be helpful! I HATE T-MOBILE!
