T-Mobile Gets iPhone in Germany

T-Mobile will be the exclusive carrier for the iPhone in Germany. The announcement was made in an official press release released by Apple today. "We're thrileld to be partnering with T-Mobile to bring the iPhone to Germany," said Steve Jobs, “Customer response to iPhone in the US has been incredible, and we can't wait to introduce T-Mobile customers to the most revolutionary mobile device on the planet.

Just like yesterday's announcement about the iPhone's release in the UK, the German version of the iphone will go on sale on November 9. German customers will be required to sign up for a 2-year T-Mobile contract.

iPhones will be sold through Telekom Shops of Deutsche Telekom and the T-Mobile web shot. It will be priced at €399 including V.A.T.

T-Mobile is promising that by the end of 2007, T-Mobile will be the only network operator in Germany to offer EDGE throughout its entire GSM network.
