T-Mobile G1 Already Unlocked?By Chris - 10/29/2008 8:31:05 PM |
While the iPhone 3G hasn’t been unlocked yet, the G1 has. The G1 managed to survive for only a week and what a week it was. Now the open-source Android phone is open-carrier too. All you need is $22.99 and a G1 to work on.
The unlocked G1s have been reported to work in other networks but not everything is going as smooth as you might have suspected. Calls and SMS messages go through without any problems but logging to Gmail isn’t possible. That also means there’s no Android Market either. What do you think? Will you unlock yours? Watch the video above for more details!
