StepNote NC1501 Notebook Unveiled, Hits Mainstream US Retailers
Everex and Via announced the brand new StepNote NC1501 notebook, featuring a 15.4" widescreen with DiamondBrite technology, integrated wireless LAN and Windows Vista Home.
Under the hood of the StepNote NC1501 is a Via C7-M processor boasting ultra low power consumption, running at 1.5GHz. The NC1501 comes with a DVD burner, even. Expect to see the notebook on BestBuy and Wal-Mart stores across the US. The laptop comes with a 6-cell Lithium-Ion battery.
It runs a little low on RAM - 512MB to be precise. Weighing in at 5.3lbs, storage needs are taken care by a 60GB 5400rpm hard drive. The Everex NC1501 notebook is priced at US $499.
