Sprint’s subscribers have been waiting for their XOHM forever now. The WiMAX based mobile broadband is getting ready to be launched but Sprint managed to leak more info. While waiting for their partnership with Clearwire to be approved, the carrier has started building up a XOHM Member website.
The site has details about the service and about the hardware. For example, the Nokia N810 WiMAX Edition is expected to arrive for Sprint XOHM customers. A XOHM USB modem, a XOHM expresscard modem, a wireless router with Ethernet hub and a XOHM portal are also mentioned.
No prices have been published yet so we’ll be waiting to see if this month is when the XOHM will appear.

This XOHM is awesome ! I took my ATT card back and said what a terrible deal through ATT with a 5 GB cap and at 60 a month for internet service. And 3g looks like dial up. Att & Verizon claim they have broadband speeds. I was Getting 700k speeds lol. Talk about slow ! With XOhm i get speeds in my coverage area 5 down 2 up with modem. With the laptop card i get 8 down and over 2 up. This is sick ! No wired connections with fios or comcast anymore either. They are history ! Att & Verizon are all greedy for such slow service. For the modem you just need to connect to ethernet port wired. Or you can purchase a wireless router to move around the house. Im a big fan of this service. And Xohm doesnt plan on ever putting caps like verizon/ att does. They said when Xohm expands that will force Verizon/Att to lift caps or go to 4g . So look out people i have Xohm and when it gets to your area better make the switch. Best Buy sells both modem / adapter for laptop. And funny thing is im over mother in laws between Baltimore and Annapolis and out of Xohm service area. And im still getting service at 3800 down and 2 up.
