I have had my blackberry since January and have been lied to time and time again. I have an OLD nextel plan that Sprint has to honor because it was grandfathered in. They of course hate that so they always try to get me to change my plan everytime I go into the stupid store.
The phone itself, testing SUCKS. I constantly have to take out the battery and reset it so that I get the messages that were supposed to come through hours ago. I always have an echo in the phone also. It makes me sooooooo mad! And service? Not sure if I even remember what it's like to have that. It's to the point that I feel dumb paying my phone bill when my service is so crappy.
I'm so done, this phone is going to be sent to ebay and I'm going to use sprint service till my contract is up.

i purchased a new blackberry/nextel 8350i 2 weeks ago and its been nothing but headaches.
incoming text messaging delay from 2-12hrs.
Half of my incoming calls I wont recieve.
The voicemail sucks.
Talked to technical and they say its a nation wide issue.
How come they didnt say that when they sold it to me!
It has the latest software version and troubleshooting is helpless.

They have not sent out any updates at all! I am on my 3rd blackberry in less than two months.I havent gotten all of my texts and all three phones have had an echo sound. Customer service is left over meatloaf! I would love to change carriers, however the push to talk is nice and the fees for giving up 10 lines.....?They really have you by the .... sack. I hate it! If those fetures worked the way they are sposed to it would be a great phone but how long do i have to wait? I can tell you my clients wont. Nextel said about 2-3 month before the kinks are worked out. how about not paying for a service intill it works properly.

I have the new 8350i and there are no gliches at all. You need the updated software. It came with my phone because I only just purchased it last week. They have launched an updated software package that will fix the problems.

I JUST PURCHASED THE PHONE. WAS NEXTEL AT ONE TIME SWITCHED TO SPRINT ONLY TO HAVE SPRINT PURCHASE NEXTEL. THOUGHT THIS BLACKBERRY WAS A GOOD PRODUCT FOR THE NEXTEL LINE. UNFORTUNATELY THE COVERAGE IS NOT GOOD. WHEN I WAS WITH SPRINT I HAD FIVE BARS WHILE AT MY HOUSE. WITH THIS "NEW AND IMPROVED" PRODUCT I DON'T GET ANY BARS. I AM CONSTANTLY DROPPING CALLS AND BECOMING FRUSTATED WITH THE LOW COVERAGE QUALITY. I HOPE THEY CAN FIX THIS ISSUE.

This phone is absolutely horrible. The text messaging system is usually at 8 to 12 hour intervals between receiving texts. THe phone has many, and i mean many gliches. It constantly freezes up on you. You are now back to nextel service only so you have lost of areas where don't get serviced compared to when you were on a hybrid service. I have eighteen lines and if it wasnt for my termination fees i would of been long gone by now. We are still conteplating paying off termination fees and moving over to another carrier.

I totally agree!!!! Since we don't get the luxury of having the TV and the Radio option, we should at least be able to get a discount on the Everything Plan - because this phone actually does not have everything....I love my blackberry but it should have been more comparable to the Sprint phone. I believe Sprint is trying to gradually get wean out Nextel in hopes that all Nextel customers will convert to Sprint...

the new blackberry should have all latest features. since its a "smart" phone & one of the "latest" additions to nextel it should have all of the options wrapped up in one...thats basically the reason for blackberries. to have an aray of options weather its tv,music, streaming videos or just business.. u know, all the toys.. why have a phone that has the latest techs & capabilities & not have them at your grasp & why settle for a lesser quality phone just cuz it has tv or nfl live or music. the phone is good. just wish nextel could have been a lil more generous to the blackberry owners . maybe a download in the future would help...plus a 3.2 mp camera would have been a lil better since the storm has it ,why couldnt the curve step it up...satisfied just a lil let down with the options...

PantherKong: This is an IDEN phone, not CDMA. Do you really want to watch TV at 14.4K (the IDEN data speed)? If you want the toys, buy a CDMA phone. IDEN is a business tool and thus has none of those toys enabled. If you need music, load up some on an SD card and put it in the phone.

Koodos to Sprint for bringing out out a badly needed updated Blackberry model on IDEN.

Pros:
Very nice high quality design. Crisp, sharp, and bright screen. Very nice icons and layout. Great call quality and clearity.

Cons:
Wi-fi did not work in many areas. Even when it did, the phone would not play streaming videos. Sprint nor Blackberry could help me get the internet feature working, so my phone would only go to Wi-fi, with no other browser available. This phone does not come with Sprint TV or the Music Store, so you cannot get the free NFL Mobile Live. It attracts lots of smuges and finger prints on the screen and on the back of the phone.

Summary:
In all, they did a great job as far as giving the phone a high quality design. They should have made this phone Sprint TV enabled and gave it access to the Music Store as well. Like I said you cannot get the free NFL Live access either. What a bomber!!!
