17 Aug 08 Sprint Instinct to Get Applications Updates?
It’s not the first update we see from Sprint in their attempt to correct data problems for their Samsung Instinct. We’ve heard various complaints regarding various aspects of the Instinct applications and they keep coming in despite any previous updates.
After improving Bluetooth audio volume, web browser, signal and battery indicators in the recent update, Sprint will be releasing individual updates for various applications. These updates will include Picture Mail, the web browser, Sprint TV and Radio, Sprint Navigation, Sprint Email, Sprint Music Store, Visual Voicemail and Mobile Sync.
Expect to see various notifications to update these apps in the near future as they will not come out all in one single package.

I think the Samsung Instinct blows the iPhone away. Does anyone know how to unlock it tho. I want to switch to ATT.

Instinct won’t work on AT&T. AT&T and T-Mobile are GSM networks, Sprint and Verizon are CDMA.
I’ve had Instinct 2 mos now. Calendar full after 1 month. Note software full after 15 notes! I can’t save to memory card, which is near empty. Calculator won’t convert liquid weight: cups, quarts, etc. Word processing very limited, can’t copy nor paste, you must memorize or handwrite data so you use it in next application.

I was so excited about the Instinct and I thought that it was going to be so much better than the i-phone, but I’ve had it for 3 months now and I don’t think it’s as cool as i-phone. There are no apps for instinct and the screen is so small. Browsing is impossible, and navigation is no use in my small city. i-phone is going to rule the world.
I have an instinct but i think the iphone is alot better. there aren’t any cool apps for the instinct! no wonder sprint has lost millions of subscribers! step it up sprint or get out of the game!
there are aps for the instinct, check online, i just downloaded pandora and gizmo which lets me have aim on my phone.
I have the instinct and I love it. I think the I-phone is nice but EVERYONE has it .So when we all get together they care more about my phone because I’m he only different one!!!Luv that!!!! Oooo plus I haven’t had problems with it. I guess to pick between the two just depends on what features are more important to you as well as what service and the pricing. I’m happy hope you will be two. P.S. another good phone is the G1 my boyfriend and sister luv it!!
I like the instinct alot but ther..and it has
no apps at all while the i phone an app for everything..and no aim thats a necessity but for the most part its great My browser pretty fast but sprint needs to step its game up
i don’t have the instinct but from the things that I’ve heard it sounds like a great phone. I have an iphone. but some of the comments I’ve heard i might not even get.
I have had my instinct for about 4 months now. No Problems at all. Just load up Opera Mini for browser, Pandora for music and Orb to stream music/video from my pc, sprinkle some 3rd party apps on(yes, they do exist for ALL JAVA/BREW PHONES) and works really well. Sure there isnt a nice and nifty apple store where people can buy apps, it just takes a google search. As for notes and calender i cant testify. Email works well. and if you use exchange for work email calender syncs too. Also, if i remember correctly there is a free sprint application that syncs desktop outlook with phone.
BTW. Vast majority of iPhone/iTouch apps are used once and forgotten. Sad but true.
sprint, i hate this damn instinct the memory sucks and it erases messages by itself also u can not customize it i bet all of our phones have exactly the same features

I have the Sprint Instinct, and the phone told me that I have an update about 3 weeks ago. So I, download the update and all I have is ads for Ebay, Wiki, Range Rover, ect. It sucks because I pay 99.99 month for my plan. I should not get ads. The update says nothing about ads? I called Sprint about this issue today and they said there is nothing they can do about the ads. Wow, great customer service. I’m very very disappointed:( and upset about there marketing on are phones. It makes me sick. I am thinking about getting rid of Sprint now. Don’t do the last update for your phone( Beware) If you have the same issue please write about on blogs and call Sprint about this issue if you fill the same.

Does anyone know an application for the Instinct where you can place contacts in different folders to send a group text message instead of sending texts one-by-one? PLEASE contact me ASAP!
I need a application for mass text messaging for my Instinct phone.
My boyfriend has an instinct and I have an iphone 3g. I have got to tell you all; THE IPHONE IS SOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER AND COOLER. There is no competition whatsoever. I agree, Sprint does need to step it up. I do have to say though, there are couple downsides to the iphone. You can only download music from itunes, that sux. It does have bluetooth for headsets but thats it. I cant pair my other cell phones with it nor my pc. Thank God AT&T just enabled MMS, cause I bought it not knowing it wasn’t enabled and that was a shock. Thanks for enabling AT&T. Good luck to all
THE INSTINCT 2KEEPS FREEZING UP ON ME WHEN IM TRYING TO MAKE AN IMPORTANT CALL IM DEFIENTELY LEAVIN SPRINT ALONE
I have had the instinct for 7 months i have come to say I HATE IT!! No apps the calibration is bad. The phone cuts off on its own in the middle of doing things. Not a good look sprint. and the chetu app does not work on my phone. I WOULD LIKE A TWITTER APP that works with this phone. at upgrade time def getting rid of this
