Sprint has divulged that come October 11, the HTC Hero will be made available to the public for $179.99 after rebates. The HTC Hero that Sprint will be unveiling is the chinless model along with features that include the Exchange Active Sync, Sense UI and Sprint TV. The HTC Hero is the first wireless device offering a combination of the Android platform with the high-speed connectivity of America’s most dependable 3G network.
For the people who are planning to get the HTC Hero, pre-registration is now ongoing at the Sprint website.

If you buy it at Best Buy its $179 plus tax right off the bat… No rebates or etc! I already reserved mine for a deposit of $50.00 that will go towards that $179.. I love BB and Sprint! Wohoot!
