Sprint announces BlackBerry 8830 World Edition
Sprint has officially launched the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition smartphone, the one that was presented by Verizon back in April. Instead of the all in gray/silver color, the Sprint edition will have the front and back colored by black, while the sides will be gray. Obviously it also has the Sprint logo right below the keyboard.
The general feature are already well known, but the small recap at Sprint's website notes the MicroSD slot (up to 2GB), the inclusion of GPS, bluetooth, and the default Media Player for audio, videos and images.
The price of the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition at Sprint is $199 after a $100 rebate, which makes cheaper than Verizon who is/was selling by $100 more.
The good offer ends on the 29th of September and it requires a 2 year agreement, plus a new activation and the purchase of a data plan with a price tag of $25 or higher.
