Sprint‘s and Clearwire‘s merger has been finnaly approved by the FCC which means we should be waiting for more WiMAX support soon. Sprint has shared it’s XOHM WiMAX with Clearwire and Clearwire has received no less than $3.2 billion of investments from Comcast and Goolgle.
After the merger Clearwire will take care of most aspects of the WiMAX business while Sprint will deal with its Nextel and iDen networks. So let’s see what the next year will bring new in terms of WiMAX support.
