Spring Design Alex misses projected release date

olympics-153x280The Spring Design Alex was set to make an impression on the e-reader market, and it sort of takes after the Nook. Here’s a little reminder of the Android e-reader’s stats:

The Alex combines the ability to read on a monochrome EPD screen while displaying the dynamic hyperlinked information on the secondary screen in full color. Alex is the first Google Android-based e-book device to provide full Internet
browsing over Wi-Fi or mobile networks such as 3G, EVDO/CDMA and GSM.

At CES, there was word that this product would be out by February 22nd, but it is now the 23rd, and there is no sign of it. Even the website just has that ambiguous “coming soon” on it.

Well, I’m sure it will show up eventually, we’ll be certain to report on it when it does.
