SoundOfMotion.com Released Bicycle Computer on Mobile Phone Version 2.0
Bicycles and hybrid cars make relatively little sound when in operation. For bikes it is because there is no engine, and for hybrid cars it is because the car's electrical engine is so smooth and quiet. Which apparently can be dangerous. Pedestrians and bicyclists don't hear the hybrid car coming, and cars don't hear a bike coming, which can often lead to a crash. So in order to prevent more accidents from happening, SoundofMotion.com has created a little computer device to attach to your bicycle that makes it sound like it has an engine. I can hear your friends cracking jokes already....
Other features of the computer are more practical. Through its Bluetooth capabilities, cyclists can turn use their cell phones to answer calls or listen to music through a wireless headset. It also has a large color display, and shows speed, acceleration, distance and time in large digits. Detailed travel data can be stored on a phone and uploaded to the computer.
It sounds neat, but what happens when it rains? And if you do pick one up, don't say we didn't warn about the teasing.
