The clock was returned because one major flaw, poor integration with iPod (I have nano 3G). I could live with a tiny sound, buttons all over so one cannot easily move it without triggering some function, and the bright display was less irritating when covered with deep blue foil because unit was built well. BUT…the unit will default to the first song in the iPod. One can devise a workaround and set the alarm while the particular song is playing. The iPod will start from that spot onward when the alarm will come on. Such workaround has two drawbacks. Firstly, the song will start at the exact time spot when the alarm was set. (~30 sec into the song) This is annoying as I often wake up before the alarm clock kicks in, and do not want to listen to an abruptly truncated my favourite tune. Secondly, if you want to wake up to the different song next morning you have to play that song AND set up alarm again. I have communicated to SONY that I will gladly buy their clock again if they can integrate iPod better. What I want is the ability to simply select (highlight) a song in iPod, so the play will start from that spot. I challenge all software wizards to do just that!
