Sony Vaio Z rumored to get “Quad SSD” storage

Sony’s stylish high-end laptops, the Vaio Z series, is rumored to be getting some rather speedy SSD options. There’s talk of four SSDs in a RAID-0 configuration, which should give blistering speeds. RAID-0 splits data between two drives, giving more speed and performance, but if one drive fails, all data is lost. Sony hasn’t released any details or actual performance stats of the new setup, but expect lots of coverage at CES.
