Sony VAIO FZ Lightweight Notebook PC With Blu-ray

Sony unleashed a new series of their popular VAIO notebooks, called the VAIO FZ notebook. The FZ series comes in multiple configurations including a high-end model with support for Blu-ray media. Weighing in at less than six pounds, this is one of their lightest Vaios yet.

The screen real estate gets a booster thanks to the space-saving chassis. The LCD also features Sony's XBrite-HiColor technology for precise details whether you are watching movies or working on graphics applications.

The premium FZ model also boasts of an HDMI connector allowing you to take the output to a HDTV. Powered by Intel Centrino Duo processor technology, the notebook sports 802.11n WLAN. Hi-res surround sound is possible thanks to Sound Reality technology. With the bundled LocationFree software, you can access your personal video recorder or DVD player and view content on your notebook via the Interwebs.
