Sony Unveils Two New Pocket TVs: The XDV-D500 and the XDV-D200
Sony has just unveiled two new pocket TVs for the Japanese market with very basic functions: watching TV and listening to the radio. The XDV-D500 is Sony's "Bravia" pocket TV with 1-Seg TV tuner, 3.0-inch WQVGA TFT screen, 2GB internal memory, and AM/FM radio tuner. It can be used to watch TV for 8 hours straight and to listen to the radio for 27 hours. The XDV-G200, on the other hand, is a simpler device with a 2-inch QVGA screen and also featuring 1Seg TV tuner as well as an AM/FM radio tuner. It can last for 8 hours when watching TV and 18 hours when listening to the radio. The question is, with the number of phones with 1-Seg TV tuner in Japan, will these new pocket TVs sell?
