sony%20UX490N-umpc.jpgSony has released its latest Ultra Mobile PC model, named Sony Vaio UX490N. It can be considered a high quality UMPC, but that makes it more valuable and with a price tag of $2,500.

The UX490N sports an Intel processor, more specifically an Intel Core 2 Solo U2200 ULV running at 1.2Ghz, and with 1GB of memory RAM. The screen measures 4.5-inches and is actually on the touchscreen category, the final resolution is pretty good at 1024x600 pixels.

One of the improvements when comparing to previous models, is the new kind of hard-drive also known as Solid State Drive with 48GB of capacity. There are 2 cameras located on the front and on the rear, with 0.3 megapixels and 1.3 megapixels, correspondingly.

Other features include bluetooth, Wi-Fi, an Ethernet port, a Memory Stick Duo slot, and a battery life of 1.5 to 3.5 hours while running Windows Vista Business.
