Sony Launched Cybershot DSC-T500By Chris - 08/28/2008 2:56:48 PM |

Sony has another Cybershot for us, the DSC-T500. This is a 10 megapixel digital camera which also knows how to record 720p videos at 30 frames per second in the MPEG4 H.264 codec.
The camera appears to be a direct result of popular demand. Here’s what Sony says about the T500:
Our research revealed that people like to shoot video with their point-and-shoot cameras, but were very dissatisfied with the video quality and the resulting large files. Our new T500 fulfills this customer need for a digital camera that delivers high-quality movies in a small form factor.
The camera can record up to 10 minutes of video. Zooming is available while recording. Still capture and high-sensitivity shooting are also available for a low lit environement. The T500 will be available some time later next month for about $400.
